INST 2570-003 Schedule #20604 - Interdisc Studies - Luminescence for Fun & Profit

Offered by Course Instructor & Cource Coordinator Prof James Demas.  Wednesdays 6:00 - 7:00 p.m., Sally Brown Reading Room.  One Semester Credit House.  Pass/Fail.

This course covers the basics as well as applications of luminescence to a variety of practical and fundamentally important questions in the area of archaeology, cellular biology, forensics, nanotechnology, and materials. 

Note:  This INST has a pre-requisite a semester each of chemistry and calculus.

Offered by Course Instructor & Course Coordinator Jordy Yager.  Fridays 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.  Sally Brown Reading Room. One Semester Credit House.  Pass/Fail.  Note:  Instructor of Record is Prof Stephne Plaskon.

The objective of this course is to create a series of interviews for the promotion of civil rights in the UVA & local community.  Students will plan, schedule, and conduct a minimum of three interviews with significant people of

their choice and will place those inerviews on-line.  Note:  Interested students must request Permission to Enroll and complete an application to entroll in this special INST.
